Position Overview
Responsible for providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers throughout pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for both mothers and newborns.
Responsibilities
- Provide prenatal care, including health assessments, education, and counseling to expectant mothers.
- Assist in the delivery of babies, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and child during labor and delivery.
- Monitor the progress of labor and provide emotional and physical support to mothers.
- Conduct postpartum visits to assess the health of mothers and newborns, providing guidance on breastfeeding and newborn care.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for mothers and infants.
- Educate families on childbirth, parenting, and newborn care, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all patients.
- Stay updated on the latest practices and guidelines in midwifery and maternal care.
Qualifications
- Completed training as a Midwife and hold a valid license to practice in Germany.
- Previous experience in midwifery or maternal care is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of prenatal, labor, and postpartum care practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in German and English (both written and spoken).
